Monitored Alarms
Alarm systems can be monitored a few different ways.
1. Central monitoring:
Is when the alarm is activated a signal is sent to the monitoring station and they contact firstly a key holder then the Gardai both will arrive at the scene of the crime. This is very popular in the current climate of the country.
2. SMS text monitoring:
This is when your alarm activates and there is a text message sent to your mobile phone from your alarm, it indicates exactly what set the alarm off, what time. It can text up 19 people at once (a land line is required for this option).
3. GSM diallers:
This is when your alarm activates and there is a text message sent to your mobile phone from your alarm, it indicates exactly what set the alarm off and what time and tells you on your phone, you can also send a text to set and unset your alarm system via your mobile phone, (no land line required for this) this is great due to the amount of phone lines being cut by burglars these days. Your alarm will send a signal, so if you don’t want to get a phone line you don’t have too.
